According to Emirates News Agency, on Monday the Abu Dhabi-Japan Economic Council convened in Tokyo to talk about ways to improve economic, commercial, and investment ties between the two countries.

The council, now in its ninth edition, brought together experts from the fields of energy, renewable energy, infrastructure, media, education, and human resource development to discuss shared challenges and opportunities.

More than fifty high-ranking government and business leaders from both countries attended.

Co-chaired by Ahmed Jassem Al Zaabi, head of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Economic Development, and Sasaki Nobuhiko, head of the Japan Cooperation Centre for the Middle East, the council has two illustrious leaders at its helm.
