For the Japan-Australia-India-United States (Quad) Foreign Ministers Meeting, Hayashi has traveled to India.

Oman has been a stable supplier of LNG to Japan for years, and Minister Hayashi has stressed the significance of this relationship.

After Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine, the two ministers discussed potential avenues for international cooperation. They talked about various topics related to the Middle East, including the current events in Yemen and Iran.

Hayashi said that he hopes the Comprehensive Partnership between Japan and Oman can be used to further develop relations in a wide range of areas, including the energy sector, after the two countries celebrated 50 years of diplomatic relations last year.
