TOKYO – Jordan’s King Abdullah II met with Ministers of Economy, Trade, and Industry NISHIMURA Yasutoshi, KONO Taro, and Sasaki Mikio of the Japanese-Jordanian Friendship Association.
The sessions were also attended by Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, according to the Petra news agency. Jordan and Japan’s economic cooperation was discussed, while the two countries’ historic relationship was praised.
King Abdullah emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration in the digital economy, cybersecurity, renewable energy, tourism, and public-private partnerships.
He also expressed gratitude for Japan’s economic and development assistance to Jordan.
According to the Petra news agency, the Japanese ministers expressed Japan’s willingness to expanding economic cooperation with Jordan in a variety of industries.
The chairman of the Japanese-Jordanian Friendship Association lauded the close ties between the two countries’ governments and people. He also stated his willingness to strengthen ties in the service of mutual interests.
