PAKISTAN, QUETTA: On Monday, a suicide bomber attacked a truck carrying police officers in southwestern Pakistan, killing nine and wounding 16.

Official Abdul Hai Aamir of the police force explained that the suicide bomber was on a motorcycle and had attacked the truck from behind.
The city of Dhadar, the district seat of Kachhi, is about 120 kilometers southeast of Quetta in Balochistan, where the incident occurred.
Kachhi district police chief Mehmood Notezai said his officers had just returned from securing a weeklong cattle show.
Baloch militants have been fighting for a more equitable distribution of the province’s resources for years, and the Pakistani Taliban have been attacking government forces.
