Russian, Turkish, Syrian, Iranian defense ministers hold talks in Moscow

On Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu met with the defense ministers of Turkey, Syria, and Iran in Moscow as part of carefully monitored talks aimed at repairing relations between Ankara and Damascus.

According to a statement issued after the conference, the four nations reaffirmed their “desire to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and the need to intensify efforts for the prompt return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.”
