The United States says a bomb blast has killed an al-Shabab militant and wounded another in the Middle Jubba region’s Jilib district.
The U.S. military says a car bomb had exploded at an Iraqi police recruiting center at Kisak, west of Baghdad. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Al-Shabaab has denied the allegations, posting footage of children killed in a US drone strike in Jilib.
The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a house where three children were staying, killing them on the spot.
Images of the three children have been displayed, and their names are listed
1-Abukar Ahmed Mohamed 8 years old
2-Abdisamad Hussein, 12 years old
3-Abdullahi Mohamed, 13 years old.
Al-Shabaab has also released photos showing shantytowns destroyed in the bombing, coinciding with the United States acknowledging yesterday that some of its attacks in Somalia have killed civilians.
