JAPAN’s Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hiroshi Takagi, met with Tunisia’s Ambassador to Japan, Mohamed Elloumi, for lunch on Thursday to discuss ways to deepen ties between the two countries.

He mentioned that the international TICAD8 conference held in Tunisia last year, as well as other events, such as dignitary visits, bilateral dialogues, and international cooperation, all contributed to the strengthening of ties.

Takagi thanked the ambassador for all his hard work over the years to foster cordial ties between Japan and Tunisia.

To that end, he said he hopes for a strengthening of ties between the two nations.

The ambassador said he wants to keep working to strengthen the friendly relations between his country and Japan because Japan is a valuable partner.
