The sports medicine clinic at the hospital has confirmed that James Calder, MD, will be performing surgery on the 31-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward.

The surgery will be performed by “Aspetar’s expert ankle surgeon, Professor Pieter D’Hooghe,” and “London’s renowned ankle surgeon, Professor James Calder,” according to a statement released by the clinic.
The Brazilian had been seen by Aspetar and Calder in January of this year.

There is a chance that Neymar could be out of commission for four months due to his injury, effectively ending his season.

Neymar, who has scored 18 goals for PSG across all competitions this year, promised a stronger return on Twitter.
