RIYADH: According to Kuwait News Agency, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has sharply denounced repeated incursions by Israeli military and Israelis at Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan.

The OIC denounced the occurrences as a significant escalation and condemned continuous Israeli aggression on the holy city, as well as attacks on worshippers, particularly women and children, in a statement published during an extraordinary meeting requested by Palestine and Jordan.

The gathering denounced what it called “constant provocations, abuses, daily severe assaults, and incursions in flagrant violation of international law.”
The OIC emphasized that Israel has no control over Al-Aqsa Mosque and that Muslim worshippers have the right to pray freely and safely there.

The Israeli authorities, according to the statement, must be held accountable for the repercussions of their provocative acts and systematic cruel attacks aimed to worsen the situation.

The gathering asked the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to take immediate and all necessary steps to halt Israel’s escalation.
The OIC emphasized the importance of continuing to work with the Arab League and the African Union to protect against systematic Israeli aggression.
